## The artist
Ken Blakemore is dyslexic. Words were difficult, so visual art became his way of
communicating, and that idea underpins the whole practice. He works in series rather than
in one fixed style, moving between abstract expressionism, landscape and waterscape,
figurative work and seasonal series. Donna Blakemore runs sales, packing and shipping.

## What is for sale
- Original paintings. One-of-one, hand-painted, signed. This is the current priority.
- Prints and editions. Limited today. A print-on-demand partner has not been connected,
  so print sizes, canvas and framing options are NOT currently orderable. Contact the
  studio to ask what is available for a given image.

## Ideas behind the work
The collections are not random decorative paintings. The I Am series explores the
relationship between the colours a person prefers and their personality. The Invisible
Square and Homage to the Center examine hidden geometry in a composition. Family United
draws a family as one connected shape. Seasonal work covers Halloween and autumn (a large
part of the catalogue), Christmas trees, and hearts.

## Buying
Every artwork has its own page at /art/<slug> with a large image, size, collection, price
and a single Buy button leading to checkout. Originals are one-of-one. Payment is card
based and handled on site.

## Shipping
All originals ship from Hilo, Hawaii. Smaller works ship at a flat rate shown at checkout.
Large canvases require crating and freight, and the studio confirms the exact cost with the
buyer before charging. International shipping is available by quote.
